YALE UNIVERSITY LIBRARY New Haven, Connecticut 06520 Rutherford D. Rogers THE BEINECKE RARE BOOK AND MANUSCRIPT LIBRARY Herman W. Liebert University Librarian Librarian 30 December I969 William I. Homer, Department of Art History- University of Delaware Newark, Del. 19711 Dear Mr. Homer: Thank you for your letter. Incised I have seen you Robert Henri and His Circle and have rejoiced in the several excellent reviews of it I have seen. It is a handsome book and I was particularly struck with how well the color plate of our Henri item, came out. I am glad that you are making progress on the Henri letters I ask Mrs. Wilde what news she has had of it whenever I see her, which is not very often. There are at least two people who are working very seriously indeed on Stieglitz - Doris Bry and Peter Bunnell - and a good many others who are considering him in relation to one trend or another or to particular individuals, Peter Bunnell (at the Museum of Modern Art in the Photography Department) would be in touch with most of these—- and it would probably be worth your while to talk with him when you are next in New York, if you are thinking of working on some aspect of Stieglitz' career. All best wishes, Yours sincerely. Donald Gallup Curator Collection of American literature
