Dear Bill: Thanks for your letter. We haven't yet heard from your student about the Luhan photos, but we have received letters from one or two others, including the young lady who is working on Edith Clifford Williams, She mentions our having three drawings: as you know we have, so far as I know, the largest group of works by Miss Clifford Williams extant, though, as I remember there, only a very few have much interest. We have been in the process of revising the conditions for the use of the Stieglitz Archive and the Stieglitz photographs for at least five years. According to one set of proposals, I was to give permission so long as I continued in New Haven and in possession of my facilities but I have heard nothing further about the revision of the conditions in the past year. Yours sincerely. Donald Gallup Curator Collection of American Literature
