June 24, 1980 Ms. Laura S. Seeley Church Street Stockbridge, MA 01262 Dear Ms. Seeley: I have just received a fellowship from the National Endowment for the Humanities to write a book on the Photo-Secession. Naturally5 George Seeley played an important role in that organization, and I would like very much to talk with you about him and his work. As you may loiow, I was an advisor to the Metropolitan Museun, when the Collection of Alfred Stieglitz exhibition was being organized and presented, and my students did a great deal of work on the catalogue section of the accompanying book, published by the museum, I certainly would appreciate having an opportunity to correspond further with you and perhaps to meet you, in due course. Seeley is an important figure and I greatly admire his work. I am enclosing a self - addressed postcard in case you wish to use it for your reply. tfany thanks and best regards. Sincerely, William I.
