May 5, 1972 Mr. William I. Homer, Chairman Department of Art History University of Delaware 342 Smith Hall Newark, Delaware 19711 Dear Bill: Thanks for your letter. I know that Bill Field will be delighted to talk with your graduate student and if he comes prepared with any specific data he may have as to Hamilton Easter Field's date of birth, education, etc., it may help jog Bill Field's memory. No one else to whom I wrote seems to have any knowledge of the man in question. However, it has been suggested that the libraries at the Brooklyn Museum and at Long Island Historical Society may be of help. As I wrote you I would be delighted to show the young man around Brooklyn Heights but I will be in Paris from May 28 to June 4th, on a trip to Virginia from June 10th to June 18th, and will be away from the office and Brooklyn during the month of July. Any other time would be fine. With best regards. CJD:en Sincerely yours, Carroll J. Dickson
