September 12, 1974 Professor William I. Homer College of Arts & Science 342 Smith Hall University of Delaware Newark, Delaware 19711 Dear Professor Homer: I was away from New York and, therefore, could not answer your letter of August 28, 1974 sooner. The lowest estimate I obtained for an 8'x 10' black and white photograph of the painting is $30.00. The photographer would have to bring special lights to my home in order to obtain the proper lighting. The painting is 46-1/2' high and 35-1/2' wide, plus the frame which is 2-3/4' wide all around. If you place the order would you also want the photograph to show the frame ? I recall that the title of the painting is 'The Storyteller'. I shall await your instructions. This letter may also serve as my consent to reproduce this painting in your proposed book. I should appreciate it if you would inform me when your book is published so that I may purchase a copy. Very truly yours. Irving Seidman .:£
