March 18, 1976 Mrs. F. S. Straus 7 W. Lyon Farm Road Greenwich, Connecticut 06830 Dear Mrs. Straus: I am enclosing a photograph of Alfred Stieglitz which I believe is by Leopold Stieglitz, taken late in Alfred's life. I believe I saw a photograph similar to this, but cut down, at your house. I purchased this example from a New York dealer some months ago because I found it quite interesting. It is inscribed 'Brother Alfred just as he was L. Stieglitz.' If you know anything about the photograph (its date or the location where it was taken) I would be glad to hear from you. Many thanks, again, for all of your help. With best regards, Sincerely, William I. Homer Chairman Enclosure P.S. Please feel free to keep the enclosed copyprint.
