Independent Study Program Whitney Museum of American Art Downtown Branch 384 Broadway New York, NY 10013 Dear Thank you for your letter of May 17, on the subject of the Forum Exhibition. As you know, that period in the history of American art is a specialty of mine. You may be interested in knowing that Virginia Zabriskie, of the Zabriskie Galleries, New York, recreated it in March-Apri1 1963, though very loosely. There was another similar effort by ACA Heritage Gallery in March-April 1966. O'Keeffe didn't really say much about the show in the interview, I have several references to published and unpublished material describing the show. I assume you have been in touch with Gail Levin of the Whitney, who also knows the period. Beet of luck, and let me know if I can be of further help. Sincerely, William I.
