I wonder whether there is much room for originality there. A number of studies (including dissertations and theses) have been made of the artists you listed and many of these have dealt in some detail with the issue you raised. Thus I do not feel the topic that you outlined leaves much room for originality. It would, of course, be possible to go ahead and do it, but I would not be very enthusiastic about it.
