August 18, 1977 Ms. Catherine Glasgow Research Assistant The Columbus Gallery of Fine Arts 480 E. Broad Street Columbus, OE 43215 Dear Ms. Glasgow; Thank you for your letter of August 10. I am glad my book on Stieglitz was useful to you. In writing it, I gained a great appreciation for Mr. Howald. I would like to enclose a report on the Marsden Hartley painting, of which you sent me a photograph. There are some problems with it in the way you have interpreted the title and the date. I will try to clear these up in the attached consents. My arguments may not be completely airtight, but I hope my views are correct. I would be glad to hear any reactions which you might have. Sincerely, William I. Homer Chairman
