November 15, 1972 Professor William Homer Dept. of Art University of Delaware Newark, Delaware 19711 Dear Bill: I just got back from Europe, and have been carrying around with me since Munich something that may or not be of interest to you. I found in the Stadtische Galerie a P.8. from Franz Marc to Kandinsky, postmarked April 9 1913 and reading as follows: 'Hartley kommt Montag; ich habe mich Dinestag bei Goltz, wo er Bllder hat, zwischen 12 u lihr zusammenbestellt. KoSen Sie Beide doch auch - vielleicht essen wir dann alle zusammen irgendwo. Wir fahren Mittwoch Abend zviruck. Zinnobergruss. F. Marc.' Probably the letter is already published - I haven't had time to check that and probably Hartley's visits to Marc and Kandinsky are already totally documented elsewhere anyway; but seeing it I couldn't help thinking of you and just jotting it down. Couldn't do any harm I thought. Don't bother to answer this. Thanks for the check.' Yours A Angelica Rudenstine THE SOLOMON R.
