Abstract:The photographic firm, Hester + Hardaway, was commissioned by the Georgia O'Keeffe Foundation in 1995 to photograph Georgia O'Keeffe's house in Abiquiu, New Mexico. This collection consists of 35 mm color slide film, 120 film, 4x5 film, copy prints, and project and contract documentation.

Biographical and Historical Note

Hester + Hardaway is the partnership Paul Hester and Lisa Hardaway. Based out of Fayetteville, Texas, the photographers have been specializing in architectural photography for architects and publications for over twenty years.


Scope and Contents Note

The photographic firm, Hester + Hardaway, was commissioned by the Georgia O'Keeffe Foundation in 1995 to photograph Georgia O'Keeffe's house in Abiquiu, New Mexico. This collection consists of 35 mm color slide film, 120 film, 4x5 film, copy prints, and project and contract documentation. The collection contains both interior and exterior views of the property. The bulk of the collection is in 35 mm format and is of the exterior.

The Georgia O'Keeffe Museum commissioned Hester + Hardaway to photograph O'Keeffe's properties in 2010 for the Museum publication, Georgia O'Keeffe and Her Houses at Ghost Ranch and Abiquiu. The Museum retains copyright for the 2010 set of photographs. Additionally, there are numerous photographs of the Abiquiu property by other photographers in the Georgia O'Keeffe Museum Research Center Archives.
